Most of the Primary 1 classrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the school compound. In these classrooms, students learn and play with their peers. The classrooms are well-ventilated and decorated which serves as a conducive learning environment for them. students make use of the collaborative writing desks and discussion tables in class to enrich their classroom learning experiences.

The Eco Garden provides students with opportunities to observe plants and animals in proximity. Other than an outdoor learning environment used during Science lessons, it is a place where students explore and appreciate the wonders of nature.

This wall is meant for students by students. It allows them to express their thoughts and wishes on whatever topics they are interested in. Different groups of students can contribute their poems, messages or stories. It is meant to serve as an inspiration for their peers. Teachers are also free to put up any messages for their students too!

The Heart and Mind Wall represents our school motto and core values. It reminds our Southviens to serve with heart and mind. The handprints on the wall were decorated by our Southviens in 2016. There are also metal bars for graduating Primary 6 students to place their locks to remember their experiences and growth in South View.

Temasek Boulevard is also one of the stops for our Heritage Trail that is used for our National
Education and Character and Citizenship Education lessons. This station focuses on Singapore and there are 7 eras in this interactive timeline. Students can take a walk down memory lane of Singapore where they will learn and appreciate Singapore’s beginnings, understand the importance of protecting Singapore ourselves and the importance of racial harmony, and learn more about some of the important events during our nation-building years, be inspired by the
resilience of our leaders and recognize that we all play a part to contribute to Singapore as a member of the community. Last but not least, there is a time capsule which is filled with things of past and present Singapore to remind us of our shared heritage.

Through these laboratory experiences, students enhance their mastery of science subject matter, develop scientific reasoning abilities and practical skills, increase the understanding of the nature of science, cultivate interest in science and improve teamwork abilities.

As students learn about ancient civilisations and how the Ancient Greeks’ contributions have helped shape modern civilisation, the learning studios in school are named after the Ancient Greek alphabets that forms the basis of modern alphabets to remind the students that contributions of the past have great impact on the present also the future. There are 6 learning studios in the school. Laptops and iPads are available for students' use during projects and research. The furniture in the computer lab facilitates the use of the available space in the room into different flexible uses to provide for a collaborative learning environment.

Located within the library, the Vloggers Studio is a sound-proof studio where students can get to record their voices for competitions and speeches. Students also learn to come up with interesting content and sustain interesting conversations with the audience. When students are encouraged to share their thoughts and present them to their audience, they are more engaged in learning and become more confident, and competent in what they are doing.

Filled with a wide variety of books, students can borrow them home with a tap of their student concession card. Besides being a conducive place for students to self-study and read, storytelling sessions are also conducted here during the recesses.

Upper Primary students gather at the Indoor Sports Hall (ISH) for assemblies. Equipped with basketball hoops and netball goal posts, it is generally used for physical education lessons. Lines of the floor are demarcated for various sports and there are also many sports equipment available for use at the back of the ISH.

The canteen is where students have their meals and can interact with their peers in school during recess. There are many different cuisines to choose from. There are 8 stalls and they range from selling snacks, drinks, rice, noodles and western food. Students are reminded to walk in the canteen and queue in an orderly manner when waiting to buy their meal.

Art plays many important roles in our lives. It captures memories, communicates ideas, shapes values and evokes emotions. It exists all around us in different forms; from the colours, shapes and patterns in nature to everyday images and designs on magazines, products and media.
Our 3 art rooms are inspired by art styles and artists who worked with various media. SCRAPS! was inspired by 2D media and largely 2 dimensional artwork while STACKS! was inspired by 3D media and hence the idea of building/construction/overlapping. SPLATS! reminds us of painting media and paint splatters from water colour, ink, acrylic, batik, marbling.
During art lessons, students will come to these colourful rooms to create their masterpieces.
The art rooms are spaces to provide a positive learning experience for the students’ creative and innovative self-expression in varied modes.The environment and facilities encourage student interaction, voices and groupwork. The collaborative walls in the rooms promote visible thinking discussions, collaboration and peer learning.

Parents can drive into the school to drop off the children from 6.30 am onwards. If parents would need to alight from the vehicle during the drop off, please park your car at the nearby HDB parking lots outside the school and walk your child to school. The play area is one of the locations where students can play freely during recess. Students can play games such as hopscotch and snakes and ladders there. Apart from giant game stickers pasted on the floors, students can also choose to play their own games.

The Musical Garden is one that encourages student voices. builds character, resilience and creativity in our students. As part of our Arts therapy and Appreciation programme, the musical garden is integrated into various music programmes such as PAL music and students can visit the garden during its opening hours to explore its musical features.

The General Office is where students and parents can go to seek assistance. Upon registering and entering the school, parents should proceed to the General Office.
